Douglas S. Shields, "Steve", 54, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016, at his residence. Steve was born in Northwood, Ohio on March 1, 1962 to Van and Joann (Keener) Shields. He worked for Toledo Tool and Die for 16 years, retiring in 2016. In his spare time, Steve enjoyed fishing, duck and deer hunting. Steve is survived by his wife, Charlene; children, Tori (Justin) Silcox, Brandon Shields; granddaughter, Jenna Martin; brothers, Ronald (Tina) Shields, John (Kris) Keener, Bill Shields, Rob (Melissa) Shields. He was preceded in death by his parents; and in-laws, Floyd and Gloria Weiland. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
