Duane C. Schwind, 81 of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Bay Park Hospital. Dugan was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 26, 1934 to Vincent and Zelda (Palmer) Schwind. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran serving during 1960-1962. Dugan retired from Libbey Owens Ford where he had worked for over 30 years. Dugan was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 11450 Walbridge. Dugan was an avid Notre Dame Fighting Irish football fan. His real love was spending time with his family and friends Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Loretta; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Michelle; sister, Vivian Snyder. He was preceded in death by his parents, sibilings, Jerry Schwind and Ursula Worley. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-8 pm at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road and where the Knights of Columbus service will be held 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd. at 11:00 am; where family and friends may gather beginning at 10:00 am. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider to St. Ignatius Catholic Church or to the Toledo Humane Society.
