Dwight J. Witty, 88, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Sunset Village. Dwight was born in Jerusalem Township on July 5, 1928 to Fred and Helen (Vog) Witty. He married the love of his life Betty Goetz on October 1, 1948. Dwight was a life long farmer and also was a John Deere dealer. H was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and helped build the new church. He and his wife were world travelers visiting all continents except for Antarctica. He was a practical joker, had a passion for wildlife spending many days at Magee Marsh. He also enjoyed hunting, but most important to Dwight was his family. Dwight is survived by his wife Betty; children; Emily, Vickie (Brett) Witty Davis, Darrell Witty; grandchildren; Dean (Samantha) Witty, Courtney Witty, Danielle (Jeff) Roe, Jonathan (Danielle) Davis; great-grandchildren, Weston Witty, Lorilei Roe; sisters, Arlene Hanson, Judy and Sharon (John) Baumgartner. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be private for immediate family only. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
