Earl R. Warnke 91, passed away on March 2, 2012 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born to Herman and Effie (Albertson) Warnke. Earl was a 1938 graduate from Clay High School and was employed at Libbey-Owens Ford for 30 years before retiring in 1984. Earl also was a farmer and loved his gardening. Earl married the love of his life, Shirley Schwane on September 9, 1950. He was a member of First St. John'™s Lutheran Church, where he enjoyed playing dartball with fellow members. He was Mason for 70 years being a member of the Genoa Blue Lodge, F & M Masonic #433 and the Masonic Temple at Fourth and Main. Earl enjoyed traveling with his wife visiting many states and countries.
Earl is survived by his daughter, Deborah Lofquist; grandchildren, Christopher (Breena) Lofquist; Cory (Mike Arbinger) Lofquist and Cole Lofquist, Angela (Andrew) Harig, Ben (Jennifer) Warnke; great-grandchildren, Della Lynn Lofquist, Evionna Warnke, Jessica and Owen Harig; nephew David (Diane) Habegger and niece, Sandra (Thomas) Gaverick. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday from 2-9 p.m. and there will be a Masonic Lodge Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at First St. John Lutheran, 2471 Seaman Street, where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in North Oregon Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Earl'™s name are asked to consider First St. John Lutheran Church or the Toledo Humane Society. Earl'™s family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to all the staff at Mercy St. Vincent'™s Hospital and Lutheran Home at Toledo for the care provided and to Mike and Molly McClear for all their support.
