Earlton J. Cousino, 99, passed away on May 2, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lasalle, Michigan on April 28, 1917 to Cleatus and Theresa Cousino. Earl was the founder and owner of Cousino Restaurants from 1945 until 1976 when his son, Tom, took over. Earl was very active in the East Toledo Community. Earl is survived by his children, Carolyn Vassar, Thomas (Eileen) Cousino, Diana "Corky" (Keith) Hymore, Lynn Cousino; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; 1 great-great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by wife, Geraldine; brothers, Huley and Russell Cousino. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will take place in the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Earl's memory are asked to consider a charity of the donor's choice, preferably an Eastside Nonprofit Organization.
