Earnie L. Dickens, 73, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, in his home surrounded by his loving family. Earnie was born in Arnette, West Virginia, on April 11, 1949, to Clinton and Margaret (Taylor) Dickens. Earnie attended Clay High School and was a member of the class of 1967. After high school he joined the U. S. Army and was called to serve in Vietnam.

He retired from Chrysler Jeep Transport in 2009 after 31 years of employment. Earnie had a love for country music, western movies, riding horses, woodworking and playing his guitar and banjo. He also had a love for restoring classic cars and drag racing with his sons.

Surviving are his loving wife, Dianne; sons, Earnie Jr (Lisa) Dickens; Steven M. (Lisa) Dickens; Timothy (Laurie) Dickens; grandchildren: Andrew, Reece, Alyssa, Emily, Aaron, Aiden and Ashton Dickens; great-grandchildren: Noah and Addilyn; brother, Larry (Mary) Dickens; sister, Joanne (Rollie) McQuestion; sister-in-law, Kim Dickens. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Margaret Dickens; his first wife, Susan; brothers, Jerry and Eddy Dickens, and sisters-in-law, Laverne Dickens and Bonnie Dickens.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio, where his funeral service will be held on Friday, January 6 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
