Edith M. Algiere, 75 of Genoa , Ohio passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital . Edith was born in Toledo , Ohio on April 11, 1935 to John Joseph and Bernetta Catherine (Fust) Smith. Edith enjoyed quilting and was an avid quilter. She also was part of the Genoa Breakfast Club where she and other retirees met for breakfast often and enjoyed each others company. Surviving are her children, Rick, John (Cheryl) Algiere, Laurie (Mark) Minarik; grandchildren, Brad Algiere, Jessica Martin, Rebekah Algiere, Julia Dumas, Abbey Lepley, Erica Grosjean, Kenny McBride, Andrea Shinaver; great grandchildren, Kristy & Samantha Algiere, Sophia Lepley, Charlie Dumas, Elizabeth & Amanda Martin, Landon & Meredith Grosjean, Lukas & Brayden Shinaver; sister-in-law, Delores Smith. Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Algiere Sr. her parents and her brother, John Smith. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 from 2-8 p.m. and where her funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm.
