Edith Brookover, 95, of Oregon, Ohio went with the Lord on March 26, 2013 at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital. She was born on November 14, 1917, to Carlos and Laura (Johnson) Kilpatrick. Edith volunteered at various hospitals for over 70 years, most recently at St. Charles Hospital for 40 years. She was a graduate of Frazeysburg High School in 1936 and attended Muskingum University. Edith was also a 70 year member of the Eastern Star Alethea Chapter #438. Edith is survived by her son, Paul (Marge) Brookover; grandchildren, Bently and Paulette (Corey) Ream; and great-grandchildren Reagan and Braden Ream. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Ford Brookover; brothers, Kenneth and Paul Kilpatrick; sister, Mary Louise Mikesell; and grandson, Ford J. Brookover. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Friday March 29, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. An Eastern Star service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Private interment will be held at Wakeman Cemetery.
