Obituary

Edith E. Burnette, 95, formerly of Oregon, Ohio passed away Monday, October 11, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Edith was born on March 9, 1915 to Cary and Lydia (Bragg) Burdette. Edith worked at LaSalles Department Store for 15 years. She is a member of the East Toledo Baptist Church and the Yondota Chapter O.E.S. She was also very active nationwide with the Gold Star Mothers. Edith is survived by her children, George and David; grandchildren, Victoria, Daniel, Kathy, David, Steven, Cary, Michael, Valerie, Kris; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James F.; son, James R., Thomas, and Cary; 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Visitation will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. Oregon, Ohio. OES services will be held on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
