Edith R. Schuffenecker, 87 of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Edith was born on April 4, 1925 to Henry and Vivian (Mueller) Schumaker. On December 25, 1941, she married Howard F. Schuffenecker. Edith was a lifelong member of First St. John Lutheran Church and the Ladies Oriental Shrine Dendarah Court #10. Edith and Howard enjoyed spending winters in Ruskin, Florida. Her true passion was spending time with her family.
Edith is survived by her daughter; Ruth and son-in-law Paul 'œGene' Price; grandsons, Paul (Frances) Price and Rodney (Natalie) Price; great-grandsons, Cory and Cody Price; siblings, Katie (Larry) Hohenbrink and Henry (Joanne) Schumaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; sister, Ruthie Cousino; and brothers, William and Howard Schumaker.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Friday, February 22, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00 am in First St. John Lutheran Church, 2471 Seaman Road, Toledo where the family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am.
