Edmond "Bob" R. Quigg, 80, of Oregon, Ohio went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 2, 2009 at Kingston of Perrysburg. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 24, 1928 to Edmond and Ida (Hartwick) Quigg. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving his country during the Korean War. He was employed at Sohio/BP for 41 years, retiring in 1988. Bob was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and the American Legion Dunberger Post.
Surviving are his children, Jeffery (Deborah) Quigg, Jill (Gary) Langenderfer, Carol (Darrel) Boltz, Karen (Roger) Byers and Kenneth (Sally) Fouty; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Margie Judy and Leah Keaton. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce; sisters, Dorothy Ankele and Helen Quigg.
Friends and relatives will be received at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave., on Thursday, March 5, 2009 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Bob's memory may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
