Edmund L. Bauer, 89, of Pemberville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Bauer was born on April 30, 1928 in Rocky River, Ohio to Henry and Edna (Bragg) Bauer. On September 4, 1948, he married the love of his life Betty Vopata. Edmund retired as a model maker from Toledo Molding & Die in 1990. He was an avid woodworker, building small wooden cars. Edmund enjoyed traveling with his wife to the Smokey Mountains and was a member of the Model A Club. Edmund is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty; children, William and Sandra; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends at the Otterbein Portage Valley Auditorium, 20311 Pemberville Road, Pemberville, on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 1:30 pm until time of memorial service at 2:00 pm. Private interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmstead, Ohio. Memorials may be directed to Faith United Methodist Church, 111 Main Street, Luckey, Ohio 43443.
