Edmundo Vasquez, 69, of south Toledo passed away July 8, 2009 at his daughter's home. He was born in Matamores, Mexico on November 20, 1939 to Juan and Manuela (Zapata). Emundo had worked for the Anderson's Company as a grain elevator operator for 36 years retiring in 2003. Edmundo will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and a loyal friend.
Surviving are his children, Juan, Hortencia, Cristina Vasquez, Patricia (Bobby) Parker and Vicente (Diana) Benavidez; brothers and sisters, Ed Torres, Amelia Bickel, Virginia Lopez, Raul Lopez, Marisela Bryant, Ricky Lopez and Mark Mireles; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandson, and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are many good close friends. Edmundo was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carmen; sister, Maria Fisher.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 South Coy Road, on Saturday from 11:00 a.m until 5:00 p.m and where his funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions to the Vasquez Family would be greatly appreciated.
