Obituary

Edna A. Lau, 95, formerly of Graytown, Ohio, passed away on December 14, 2011 at Genoa Care Center. She was born on January 14, 1916 to Carl and Clara (Jeremy) Dreier. Edna enjoyed western square dancing, spending winters in Ruskin, Florida and summers at their cottage in Brooklyn, Michigan. She was a leader for the Busy Bees 4-H Club. She was born and raised in Bono and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church where she was baptized in the original building. Edna is survived by her children, Hermine (Marvin) Sondergeld, Ruth (Chuck) Dewitz, Betty (Ronald) Martin; brothers, Don (Doris), Gerald (Rosemarie) James (Jimmie), Karl (Rosemary) Dreier; sisters, Emily Long, Iva Baker, and Ruth CaJacob; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman; her parents; son, Roger Lau; brothers, Robert (childhood), Alden, and Harold Dreier; sister, Charlotte Dippman. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church on Monday at 10:30 a.m. with visitation beginning in the church at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Elliston Cemetery. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Ednas name are asked to consider Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church or the charity of the donors choice. Visitation: Sunday, 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Monday, 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. in Church Services: Monday, 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Interment: Elliston Cemetery
