Edna E. Sparks, 85, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 at the Lutheran Home at Toledo. She was born in Pearl, Kentucky on March 4, 1925 to Foster and Bertha (Partin) Wilson. Edna was employed as a glass selector for 15 years at Libbey Glass. She was a member of Old Fashion Missionary Baptist Church. Edna enjoyed gardening, crafts, especially sewing and making baby quilts.
Surviving are sons, Merle (Willie) and Charles (Rosetta) Sparks; grandchildren, Michael, Theresa, Lynda (Jim), Jeffrey (Lesley). Cindy (Shane) and Kelly (Scott); great grandchildren, Cassidy, Bryce, Tristan, Tyler, Jacob, Alaina, Braydon and also, Kayla & Madison; sisters, Hazel, Mary, Jewell (Bill), Pauline (Bill) and Jean; brothers, Fate (Elsie), Albert, Leland (Eliza), Roland (Jenny) and Dennie (Juanita). Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ancil and 2 sisters.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with interment following in Lake Township Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Edna'™s memory are asked to consider the Alzheimer'™s Association or Lutheran Home at Toledo. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Lutheran Home at Toledo especially the 2nd floor nurses and staff.
