Edna L. Yarger, 77, of Oregon, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. She was born in Butler, PA on October 5, 1928 to Clarence and Ida (Hoak) Emerick. Edna enjoyed spending time rearing her grandchildren, sewing and reading romance novels while sipping tea. She was the widow of Arden, who passed away in 1975. Surviving are her sons, Ben Lloyd, Fred (Lori) Yarger and Daryl (Mary) Yarger; sister, Virginia Bennett; brother, Robert Emerick; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Edna also was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Beula and Jessie ; step-daughter, Loretta Rowe and step-son, Arden Jr. "Hoot" Yarger. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, February 17, 2006 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30am. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
