Edward A. Bee, 61, of Oregon, OH, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2004, in his home. He was born on September 21, 1943, in Toledo, OH, to Luther and Vera (Purcell) Bee. Ed was employed as a machinist at the Dana Corp. for 20 years, where he was a union steward. He also worked for Toth Industries until 1999. He also served as chairman of Local 12, was a member of #788 Paragon (Pt. Lawrence) Lodge, and Christ United Methodist Church. Ed was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Surviving is his wife, Judith A. Bee; mother, Vera Bee; children, Edward A. (Jenny) Bee Jr., Sonia (Jim) Schmidlin and Jennifer (Tim) MacDonald; sisters and brothers, Nancy (Phil) Shinaver, Edna Whitman, Luther "Jake" (Sally), Charles (Annette), William (Carol), and James (Penny) Bee; 9 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. His father, Luther, and brother, Thomas Bee, preceded Ed in death. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH, on Saturday from 5-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-9 p.m. with Masonic services Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home Monday at 11:00 a.m. with interment following in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
