Edward Joseph Courrier, 77, of Perryburg, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2005, in St. Vincent Medical Center. Edward was born in Chicago on February 26, 1927, to Edward and Edwina (Bohan) Courrier. Mr. Courrier was a US Army Veteran of World War II. He was employed as a mens clothing salesman at Wieboldts Department Store in Chicago for over 25 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. Jerome Church and a great fan of both the Notre Dame Football Team and the Chicago Cubs.
Surviving are his wife, Kathryn; children, Barbara (Denny) Nealand, Edward (Ericka) Courrier and Larry (Theresa) Courrier; sister, Mary (Sebastian) Hartinger; 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Edward was a great husband, father and grandfather and will be missed dearly by both his family and friends.
Friends may call in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. Oregon, Ohio where the family will receive friends from 2 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. and proceed to St. Jerome Church in Walbridge for the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Edwards memory can be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
