Edward A. Earl, 79, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015, at the Veterans Medical Center, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Ed was born in Huntington, West Virginia on June 15, 1936 to Eugene and Edna (Meyers) Earl. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 20 years, completing 3 tours in Vietnam over 39 months. Ed was later employed with Libbey Glass for 36 years, retiring in 2009. Ed is survived by his wife, Diana; daughters, Jamie (Larry) Dorring, Jodi Earl and Jessica Earl; grandchildren, Makenzie Dorring, Melinda (Jake) Richards, Jimmie Earl and Jaxx Earl; and great-grandson, Castiel He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Charlotte Vining and Mary Earl. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm and Monday, December 28, 2015 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Willow Cemetery.
