Edward James Hartford Sr. of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on Thursday, March 11, 2021. Butch was born in Oregon on August 30, 1939 to Harold and Waneda (Elsea) Hartford. He had retired from North Star Recycling where he was a truck driver. Butch was a member of First St. John Lutheran Church. Surviving are his children, Harold Hartford, Lee (Sally) Hartford, Kimberly Kay Hasapes; Kimberly Sue Hartford; Derek (Ellison) Hartford, Jerry (Kathy) Vasko, Kathy Darling (Steve) Weaver, Paula Vasko, Bobbie (Juan) Fitch Herrera; 17 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren; sister, Sandra Whetsel; brother, Robert (Annabell) Hartford; sister-in-law, Margaret Hartford. Ed was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rose; son, Edward; siblings, Harold Jr., Eleanor, Will law, Daniel, and Richard. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 19 from 2-8 pm at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon where his funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in North Oregon Cemetery.
