Edward Joseph Thomas, 60, of Oregon, OH passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2004. He was born in Toledo, OH on July 26, 1943 to Edward and Vernice (Jarrad) Thomas. Joe was employed as a press operator at the Daimler Chrysler Jeep Plant for 28 years. He thoroughly enjoyed his job, drag and NASCAR racing events and collecting coins. Surviving are his sons, Walter (Trish) Magrum and Scott Arnold; grandchildren, Connie, Nicole, Selena; step-grandchildren, Jason and Jeremy; step great-granddaughter, Kayla; sisters, Marian (Joseph) Bochi and Kathleen Schumaker; brother, Robert and special friend, Constance Guy. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Connie Grochowski and brother, James. Family and friends may visit at the Kinsey Funeral Home, Birmingham Chapel, 2001 Consaul St., Toledo, Ohio on Friday from 5-9 p.m. where a funeral prayer service will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in North Oregon Cemetery.
