Edward L. Paffrath, 73, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013. Ed was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 7, 1940 to Theodore and Elizabeth (Galambos) Paffrath. He was employed in the housekeeping department at Mercy St. Charles Hospital for over 25 years. He was a member of the Rossford Eagles and enjoyed square dancing. Ed was a devout Catholic who attended mass often. His true passion was spending time at the Toledo Zoo.
Ed is survived by his sister-in-law, Karen Paffrath; niece, Corrie (Nick) Nijakowski; nephew, Christopher Paffrath; and cousins, Larry Wojnar, Edward J. Kolanko, Edward A. Kolanko, and Deborah (Doug) Digby. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Chuck Paffrath.
Friends may call at the Epiphany of The Lord Parish, St. Stephens Church, 2018 Consaul Street, Toledo on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 9:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to Little Sisters of the Poor or Genoa Retirement Village Activity Fund.
