Obituary

Edward D. Prodan, 85, of Toledo,Ohio, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 20, 1931 to Dan and Bertie (Brinegar) Prodan. Edward was a US Army Veteran who served during the Korean War. He worked for Local 85 as a boilermaker as well as working as a millwright for Local 1393 before retiring in 1993. Edward also excelled as a professional glass blower with the Maumee Chemical Company. He was a 32 degree Mason and a member of the Paragon Masonic Lodge 788. Edward enjoyed woodworking and cars, but more than anything he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Edward is survived by his children, Wanda (Rick) Davis, Daniel (Cheryl) Prodan, Yvonne (Bill) Collins; numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; siblings, Larry, John and Mary. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda; daughter, Rebecca Harrigan; sister, Patricia Huegel; and brothers, Paul Prodan and Jim Prodan. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Masonic services will take place at 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 10:00 am at Restlawn Memorial Park.
