Edward L. Wahl Jr., 49, of Toledo, Ohio has gone fishing Friday, November 15, 2013. Edward was born on May 7, 1964 to Edward and Susie (Padgett) Wahl Sr. He was a proud Iron Worker, working out of Local 55. To his brothers in the Union, Edward was known as the man with the 'œgolden hand.' He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed camping, phenomenal boxing coach, and loved spending time with his family. He was known for the phrase, 'œIt'™s a Wahl thing.' He was a proud father, dedicated husband, and a great friend. Edward will truly be missed by all.
Surviving are his loving wife of 25 years, Dora; children, Chad (Erika) Blake, Danielle Blake, Tiffany (Amador) Santiago, Edward (Lily) Wahl III, Stella (Tomas) Wahl, Dominic (Nicole) Wahl; mother of his children Sue Wahl; best friend Mike Tatro; siblings, Timothy Wahl Sr., Jimmy Wahl, Rodney Wahl, and Shelly Gilbert; Rodriguez family; Gonzales family; 32 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. Edward was preceded in death by his father, Edward Sr.; twin sister; grandson Chino; and one brother.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 4-9 p.m. and Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 2-9 p.m. with prayer services beginning at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, November 22, 2013 at St. Adalbert Parish, 3233 Lagrange St. Toledo, OH at 11:00 a.m. where the family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
