Obituary

Eileen Malone, 89, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 14. 2016, at home in Genoa. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 12, 1927 to August and Anna (Mang) Martin. Eileen enjoyed baking, cooking, fishing and bowling. She also kept a repertoire of limericks she had learned over time. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. Surviving are her loving husband, Chester Malone; children, Carole (Richard) Everhardt, Mike (Shirley) Malone and Kevin (Deb) Malone; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; siblings, JoAnn Schultz and Ronald Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, August Martin Jr. and Donald Martin; granddaughter, Michelle Malone; and step grandson, Chris Dutcher. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 4 pm – 8 pm. Visitation will also be held at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner Street, Walbridge on Saturday, June 18 from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass Of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Clay Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution can be directed to St. Jerome Catholic Church or Compassus Hospice.
