Eileene M. Smith Sr., 65, of Millbury, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2004, in her home. Mrs. Smith was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 19, 1939, to Ralph and Ann (Duckett) Kachenmeister. Eileene was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, bowling, crocheting, and playing The Ohio Lottery. She also was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan, and most especially enjoyed being with her family. Surviving are her sons, Gordon (Linda), Scott and Jerry D. (Shannon) Smith Jr.; daughter, Penny Jo (John) Keeler; brothers, Fred and Larry Kachenmeister and Jim and Marvin Jr. Huss; sisters, Vickie Coons, Janice Mientkiewicz, Linda Curry, Dawn Dimasso, Cindy Ruggiero, Ann Prauter and Pam Teet; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jerry D. Smith Sr. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 am in the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Woodville Road Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd., Millbury, Ohio, where visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Interment will be private. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Peter's United Church of Christ or the Millbury Volunteer Fire Department.
