Elaine Alice McDonald, 87, of Oregon, Ohio, surrounded by her daughters, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 20, 2022. Born January 31, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of Casper and Ida (Carter) Eicher. She married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" McDonald, on June 29, 1956. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2020. Elaine was a graduate of Waite High School. She worked at Woolworths (where she met her future husband), Economy Savings and Loan and retired from Sohio/BP Refinery. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, traveling, bowling, knitting and breakfast with friends and just going out to eat. She never met a stove she liked. She loved cheering her daughters on in their various sports activities and spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memories of her life will be cherished by her children, Cindy McDonald, Robbin (Jeff) Huss; grandchildren, Christopher (Brooke) Huss, Jaime (Matthew) Manack, Kyle Huss; five great-grandchildren; her informally adopted in love daughter, Linda Metzker and her dog, Roxie. She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Screptock. There will be a private graveside service. Please consider memorial donations to your local Humane Society, animal shelter, or Hospice.
