Eldon M. Bloom, 88 of east Toledo, passed away in his residence on Friday, December 4, 2015. Eldon was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 24, 1926 to Idon M and LaFerne (Bunn) Bloom. He owned and operated the Maumee Valley Silkscreen in east Toledo. His favorite quote was "this silkscreener doesn't do T'shirts". Eldon was Past Commander of the former Lotus Masonic Lodge, now known as Paragon Masonic Lodge # 788 F&AM. He also was a member of the Toledo Port Lawrence Chapter 161. Eldon along with his wife, Jeanne enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and abroad to many places; he also enjoyed sailing, golfing, bowling.
Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years, Jeanne Bloom; cousins, Mary (Greg) Sharp, Chris (Eric) Rill, Frank (Helena) Wagner, Kim Wagner and Doug (Anguli) Winker. Eldon was preceded in death by his parents; and cousins, George Wagner, Carolyn Winker-Wagner and Frank (Virginia) Winker.
Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday from 2-8 pm and where The Paragon Masonic service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Private family funeral services will be Tuesday. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
