Eleanor G. Kinsel, 95, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010.
She was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 15, 1915 to Martin and Gertrude (Nelson) Baehr. On October 22, 1938, she married Marvin H. Kinsel and he preceded her in death on August 10, 1973. Eleanor worked at LaSalle and Koch department store and the Oregon Banquet Room for many years. Eleanor was a lifelong member of St. Mark Lutheran Church where she was active in Young People Society, Fellowship Form, Ladies Aid Society, Children Service Club, and sang in the choir for 37 years. She was a member of the Sama Gama Club Honorary Society for serving as president of many organizations at St. Mark'™s. Eleanor served as president of Raymer School PTA and volunteered at St. Charles Hospital and was a Gray Lady at St. Lukes Hospital. Eleanor volunteered over 50 years at Lutheran Home of Toledo where she was president of Guild.
Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Sharon E. (Donald) Kinsel-Ruffert-Ehrlichman and Kay C. Ozanski (Jim Wurst); grandchildren, Tamra (Robert) O'™Neil and Joseph Ozanski; great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Matthew, and Blake O'™Neil; Ted and Tiffany Ozanski. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Robert and Arthur Baehr.
Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road @ Starr Ave. on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 pm and Friday, from 12:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 am Saturday at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 611 Woodville Road, Toledo. Interment will follow at Willow Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Lutheran Home Society or St. Mark Lutheran Church.
