Eleanor T. Kremnec, 84, of Toledo passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo. Eleanor was born in Toledo on October 15, 1923, to Lawrence and Eleanore Paradowski. She attended Woodward High School, residing in the Old Polish Village Area, where she lived with her husband of 47 years, Sylvester Kremnec who preceded her in death along with her parents; granddaughter, "Angel" Melissa Ann Gogol; sister, Stella Meier; brothers, Chester and John Paradowski. Her loves of her life included her two daughters, Barbara (Terry) Gogol, Kathleen (fiancé, Steve Brossia) Spangler; grandchildren, Douglas Gogol, Jeffrey (Jenny) Gogol, Brian (Wendy) Gogol, Joshua Spangler, Ashley Zam and Amber Brossia; great-grand-children, Drake Nosker, Sean Jones, Zachary Gogol, Nicholas Gogol, Tori Gogol, Samantha Gogol; sister, Wanda Zarnoch, and "Pookie", her Yorkshire Terrier. Eleanor could always be found at daily bingo games where she earned the title "Bingo Queen." Sundays were always meant for family visits with a "hot game of rummy and a strip of winning scratch lottery tickets, her Pookie sat by her side. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury on Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. and where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Hedwig Catholic Church, Dexter and Lagrange Streets, Toledo on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. and where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the Mass. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Eleanor's memory are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Eleanor's family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo for the love, comfort and the support provided to her and them during her brief illness.
