Eleanor M. Harris, 99, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2005 in Orchard Villa. She was born on October 21, 1906 to George and Minnie (Schmidt) Mong. Eleanor attended Bowling Green Normal College, and then graduated from the University of Toledo. She was a teacher in the Oregon Schools for 36 years, 31 years at Wynn and 5 at Starr Schools. Eleanor was a lifelong member of Divinity Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, superintendent of the Luther League, and was a member of WELCA. Eleanor is survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy (Bill) Hofbauer; nephews, Gary Mong and Dean (Barbara) Mong; great nephew, Wesley Mong, many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Leonard Harris, and brother, Wesley Mong. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio on Friday, December 23, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in North Oregon Cemetery.
