Elenore M. Taylor, 106 celebrated her first Christmas in her new heavenly home on December 25, 2009 after a wonderful life on earth. Ellie was born in Tiffin , Ohio on June 27, 1903 to Louis and Marie Nagel. She was the widow of Milo Taylor . Prior to moving to Oregon eight years ago to live with her niece, Olga Zimmerman, Ellie and her husband had retired to Arizona . She attended churches in Arizona , but most recently became a member of First St. John Lutheran Church in Toledo . During her 106 years, Ellie drove across country in a Model A Ford; lived through WWI, WWII, Viet Nam, Korean and the current wars, saw the inventions of cars, telephones, television, radios and numerous other inventions. Ellie will always be remembered as a loving, gracious, caring lady of great style, who would light up the room when she entered. In addition to her husband Milo, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Rudy, Karl, Lydia, Louis; nephews, Henry and William Kerschner; great nephew, Terry Zimmerman. Ellie is survived by her sons, Kent and Gary; nieces, Olga Zimmerman, Maxine Eggerth, Helen Kerschner, and Mildred Wenig; great nephews, Paul (Betsy) Kerschner, Randy Zimmerman and Rick Eggerth; great niece, Chris (George) Veronie. There will be no visitation and a Celebration of Ellie's wonderful life will be held at a later date. Ellie's family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the nurses and staff at Parkcliffe Community and Heartland Hospice for the care and love they provided to Ellie and for being part of her family for the past four years.
