Elinor M. Brown, 95, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 17, 2021. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 24, 1926 to Warren and Fannie (Elmore) Strickland. After graduating High School she married her best friend and love of her life, Melvin Brown on March 12, 1948. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Elinor absolutely loved the Cincinnati Reds and cheering them on. She enjoyed traveling with her daughter, especially their trip to Hawaii. Elinor was a pillar of faith and cherished the time she spent with her family and all of her grandchildren. Elinor is survived by her children, Evelyn Miller, Frank (Karen) Brown, Cathy Brown, Ken Brown; grandchildren, Laura, Jim, Mike (Chantell), Bobby, Melissa, Greg, Andy, Dan, Jacob (Kelly); great-grandchildren, Nick, Alex, Jaime, Madison, Grace, Ryan, Audrey, Raelynn, McKenzie, Rylee, Jayden, Caleb and Jaxon. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 71 years, Melvin. Family and friends may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 South Coy Road on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Elinor's name may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
