Elizabeth A. Brandenburg, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born in Jamestown, NY on September 29, 1932 to Lawrence and Heklen (Becker) Kahler. Elizabeth retired from Flower Hospital in the late 70'™s where she had been employed as a nurse. She was an active member of AA for 30 years and was responsible for helping many people during that time. Surviving are her children, James and Michael Asbury, Susan Flannery and Carol Badas; sisters, Alice Meier and Kay Abbey; brother, Clarence Kahler; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Daniel and Stephen Asbury; brother. Lawrence Kahler According to Elizabeth'™s wishes her body was donated to the University of Toledo Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at 1:00 p.m. and where the family will greet friends beginning at 12:00 Noon. Expressions of sympathy in Elizabeth'™s memory are asked to consider the Pulmonary Hypertension Association or the Beach House Family Shelter.
