Elizabeth "Jerry" M. Miller, 74, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Monday October 29, 2007 in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 2, 1933 to Elmer and Helen (Gibbons) Smart. Jerry grew up in the Ironville neighborhood, graduated from Waite High School in 1951 and also married Donald Miller in September of 1951. She had been employed as a secretary for the Toledo Public Schools, retiring in 1993. Mimi enjoyed traveling, the property they owned in northern Michigan and taking the grandchildren on vacations. She was highly active in supporting her grandchildrens schools and sporting events, attending many out of town games.   Surviving are Donald and their children, Mark of Curtice, OH, Cathy (Tom) Tifft of Aliquippa, PA, Dave (special friend, Sherry Wuertz) of Oregon, OH, Barb (Dr. Barry) Kinsel of Williston, OH; grandchildren, Jenifer (Jody) Palsa of Toledo, Tim Bayes of Toledo, Amanda and Megan Tifft of Miami, FL, Cory Kinsel of Williston and Taylor Miller of Oregon; great-grandchildren, Johnny Palsa and Timmy Bayes; brother, Jake Smart and many nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Isabelle Mayhugh, Delcie TenEyck, Elmer "Sonny" Smart, Marilynn Fruits, Jimmy Smart, Jean Florek, Sharon Thone and Karen Durham.  Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 11:00 a.m.  Expressions of sympathy in Jerrys memory can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the charity of the donors choice.
