Elizabeth Marie "Betty" Mohler, 82, of Curtice, OH, died September 28, 2005, in St. Charles Mercy Hospital after a short illness. She was born in Toledo, OH, on September 19, 1923, to Gustave and Gertrude (Kahlenburg) Brunke. Betty graduated from Waite High School, served as Worthy Matron for Eastern Stars and took an active role as "Team Mom" for the Clay High School girls' basketball team from 1974 through the late 1980's. Her home on Lake Erie teamed with visitors and children throughout her life and she could always find room for "one more" at her dinner table.
She is survived by her six children, Dennis (Diana) of Lake Elsinore, CA, Timothy (Rita) of Julian, NC, Scott (Sookie) of Grand Rapids, MI, Kip (Valerie) of West Bloomfield, MI, Pamela (William) Michalak of Genoa, OH and Dale (late wife, Tami) Mohler of Curtice, OH; as well as brothers, Robert Brunke of Walbridge, OH and John Brunke of Swanton, OH; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 51 years, Marion "Joe" and daughter-in-law, Tami.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio, on Friday from 2 - 9 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in Williston Cemetery.
