Elizabeth A. Oberlin, 81, of Elmore, Ohio, passed away August 11, 2012 at Toledo Hospital.
Elizabeth was born on October 30, 1930 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Peter and Rhoda (Payment) Tardiff. Elizabeth worked at Libbey Owens Ford for 25 years, retiring in 1982. She loved line dancing, playing cards, especially euchre. Elizabeth was also an avid crossword puzzle player. She was a fan of any kind of board or card game. She enjoyed spending time traveling with her sisters-in-law and niece. Elizabeth was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Elizabeth was also a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Randy (Linda) Oberlin, and Dean (Marilyn) Oberlin; grandchildren, Shauna (Tom) Orr, Lance Oberlin, Jennifer (Ben) Fording, and Lauren Oberlin; and great-grandchildren; Joshua Oberlin, Aiden Fording, and Caitlin Orr. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 49 years Clayton, brother Peter Jr., and sister Helen.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday August 13, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Mass of a Christian Burial will be conducted on Tuesday August 14, 2012 at Our Lady Of Lourdes Church 204 Main St Genoa, OH 43430, where friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
