Elizabeth R. Whitman, 86, formerly of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Mrs. Whitman was born in Toledo on October 31, 1921, to Max and Sarah Kusan. She was the widow of Donald Whitman who preceded her in death in 1999. Surviving are her daughter, Jayne Whitman O'Shaughnessy, Sewickley, PA; sister, Patricia Kusan, Maumee; brother, Dick Kusan of Curtice; grandchildren, Wendy (Rob) Wolf, Louisville, KY, Tim O'Shaughnessy, Pittsburgh, PA, Kristin Bryan Kinney, Toledo, Grady O'Shaughnessy, San Francisco, CA, Matthew (Misty) Bryan, Toledo; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Wolf, Kelsey Bryan, Mara O'Shaughnessy, Madeline Kinney, Alexander Bryan, Kane O'Shaughnessy and Braylen Bryan. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Susan Whitman Aemmer. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio on Friday, March 14 from 2-7 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home Saturday, March 15 at 9:30 a.m. and proceed to St. Thomas Aquinas Church for the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in North Oregon Cemetery.
