Elizabeth R. Zemnicki, 94, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 17, 2003 at Orchard Villa. She was born on February 27, 1908 in Toledo, Ohio to Paul and Teresa (Markovits) Matyok. Elizabeth co-owned and operated Zemnickis Greenhouse in Oregon for many years retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Hungarian Club and St. Stephens Catholic Church. Surviving are her son, William J. (Joyce) Zemnicki of Oregon, OH; daughter-in-law, Barbara J. Zemnicki of Oak Harbor, OH; granddaughter, Christine Sawyer Williams of Las Vegas, NV; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; sons, Joseph P. and George; 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Visitation will be held on Sunday 2-9 pm at the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Oregon, Ohio. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 9:30 am on Monday and proceed to St. Stephens Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
