Elmer Emil Busse, 78, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 17, 2004, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Elmer was born in Curtice, Ohio, on April 12, 1926, to Emil R. and Sophia (Wilhelm) Busse. He was a WWII U. S. Army Veteran serving in the 11th Armored Division. On December 17, 1949, he married Dorothy E. Burmeister. Elmer retired from the Federal Government as an inspector in 1981, after 33 years of service.
In addition to his wife, Dorothy, he is survived by his three children, Donald L. Busse, Roy R. (Genie) Busse , Patricia A. Provo; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brother, Martin R. Busse; sister, Vanda Lind.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home Woodville Road Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury on Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Johns Lutheran Church Rocky Ridge and where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private in Elliston Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Elmers memory are asked to consider St. Johns Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge or Rocky Ridge Volunteer Fire Department.
