IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eloisa M.
Deanda
October 22, 1932 – October 10, 2025
Our dearly beloved mother, Eloisa Mendoza DeAnda, age 92, of Oregon, Ohio, peacefully left this earthly life, surrounded by the warmth and love of her cherished family, in the comfort of her home. With a joyful heart, she joined our Lord Jesus and her husband, Felix, on Friday, October 10.
She was born in Noriega, Mexico on October 22, 1932 to the late Felicitas (Padron) and Nicolas Mendoza. She came to the United States in 1949 and settled in Northwest Ohio until her passing. She married Felix DeAnda on May 14, 1950 who preceded her in death on April 1, 2023. She dedicated many years to managing her home and caring for her six children. Once her children were grown, she took a position at Little Sisters of the Poor in Oregon. When her grandchildren arrived, she chose to retire so she could care for them. She was a devoted Christian and regularly attended Primera Iglesia Bautista (First Baptist Church) in Toledo, always eager to share the Gospel whenever possible. She had a deep love for the outdoors, especially her gardens. In her later years, she found joy in quiet activities such as working on puzzle books and artwork, and always devoted time to her family.
Her memory will live on through her 5 children, Arnulfo (Vicky) DeAnda, Alma Rosa Worthington, Agapito (Dolly) DeAnda, Amelia (Mark) Hemsath, and Alicia Martinez; 23 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 2 siblings, Nicolas and Hilberto Mendoza; along with several other family members.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 72 years, Felix; 3 sisters; 1 brother; son, Armando; grandson, Alex; son-in-law, Renny; and granddaughter, Tabatha.
The family would like to thank our sister, Alma Rosa, for the loving care she provided for our mother.
We will remember Mom's smile, her gentle words of encouragement, and the love she gave so freely.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston-Meinert and Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road in Oregon on Monday, October 13, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Primera Iglesia Bautista.
