Elva L. Taylor, 80, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 11, 2017, surrounded by her family. Elva was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania on October 7, 1937 to Harry and Ruth (Anchors) Stewart. Elva worked in the cafeteria of Walbridge Elementary School and managed the Walbridge Baseball Association and Lake Athletic Boosters Concessions stands for many years. She was a member of Good Will Spiritual Church in Walbridge. Elva enjoyed cooking for her family and attending her grandchildren's activities.
Elva is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Edye) Taylor, Lance Taylor, Cory (Jennifer) Taylor, and Todd (Stacy) Taylor; grandchildren, Alex Lamb, Morgan Miller, Kyle (Brandi) Taylor, Amanda (Ben) Sandwisch, Brittany (Shane) Stephens, Tyler Taylor, Logan Taylor, and Jordyn Taylor; great-grandchildren, Lukas, Adison, Boone, Vivian, Max, Paisley, and Sloan; and sister, Nora Zunk. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur; brother, Raymond Haser; and sister, Dana Stewart.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the funeral home. Private interment will be in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Wood County Humane Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
