Emery E. Harsanje, 89, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Emery was born in Martin, Ohio on August 24, 1928 to Michael and Mary (Geller) Harsanje. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S Air Force. Emery was a mechanical engineer for 70 years working for Crane Supply and Westburne Heating and Air Conditioning Co. He enjoyed gardening, reading, crossword puzzles and fishing in his spare time. Surviving are his loving wife of 66 years, Lois; daughters, Janet S. (Aultie Gilliland) Gest and Kathleen "Kathy" (Gene) Zaeff; brother, Vince Harsanje; daughter-in-law, Kathy Harsanje; grandchildren, Amanda Harsanje, Jon (Katie) Harsanje, Joe (Autumn) Harsanje, Nick (Morgan) Zaeff and Alek Zaeff; great-grandchildren, Nola and Mara Harsanje. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Robert; brothers, Michael, Richard and Donald and sister, Betty Thompson. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 12 noon. Interment will take place in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
