Emery A. Perlaky, 90, passed away on October 16, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio surrounded by his loving family. Emery was joyfully reunited in the rose gardens of Heavens with his beloved wife of 67 years, Eleanor, who passed away in April of this year. He was born on September 27, 1924 to Louis and Gizella (Strine). Emery is a Veteran of the U. S. Army and worked for the Lucas County Road Maintenance Division for 30 years before retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. Stephen'™s Catholic Church where he was active in the Altar Rosary Society as well as the Holy Name Society. Emery was an avid Notre Dame fan and a wonderful handyman. He was the pillar of the family and cherished every moment he was able to spend with his children and grandchildren. Surviving are his children, Michael (Kathleen) Perlaky, Mary (Andrew) Perlaky Zemski, Rosemarie, Gerald (Becky) and John (Cheryl) Perlaky; grandchildren, Jeff (Molly), Mark (Mandy), Ryan (Courtney) Perlaky, Rachel (Sandy) Bordonaro, Amanda, Spencer, Logan Perlaky, Angela Burrey; 6 great grandchildren and two on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eleanor; son, Anthony; siblings, Steve, Joseph and Louis Perlaky. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday from 1:00-8:00 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends on Monday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Epiphany of the Lord Parish - St. Stephen'™s Church, 2018 Consaul Street, until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
