Emery L. Zigrai, 86, of Toledo, OH passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2006, in Orchard Villa Nursing Home. He was born in Toledo, OH on March 10, 1920, to John and Mary (Hosko) Zigrai. Emery served in the US Army during WWII and was then employed for 37 years with Libby Owens Ford before retiring in 1982. He was a life long member of St. Stephen's Church and a member of VFW Post 4906.
Surviving are his twin daughters, Carolyn (Ronald) Spoerl of Bowling Green and Marilyn (Richard) Baranowski of Northwood; grandchildren, Matthew Baranowski, Jennifer (Steve) Smith, Rachel (Edward) Merkley, Patrick (Tara) Baranowski, Heath (Ronda) Spoerl and Elizabeth (Brian) Wilcox and great-grandchildren, Chase, Cody, Madeline, Noah, Isaac, Julia, Sydney and Ian. Emery was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty; parents and sister, Elizabeth Zigrai.
Family and friends may call at the Kinsey Funeral Home, Birmingham Chapel, 2001 Consaul St. on Tuesday, April 18, 2006, from 4 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and proceed to St. Stephen's Church for 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Contributions in Emery's name may be sent to St. Stephen's Church or Cardinal Stritch High School.
