Ernest Chorba, 80 of Genoa, Ohio passed away at St. Charles Hospital on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 surrounded by his family. Ernest was born on October 7, 1932 to Joseph and Mary (Molnar) Chorba. He graduated from Waite High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married the love of his life Frances (Kocis) on May 11, 1957. Ernest worked for Sun Oil at various positions, most recently working in the lab before retiring after 52 years. Ernest loved spending time with his family and taking care of his dear English Mastiffs. Surviving are his children, Charlene (Ron) Newmister, Joe (Delaine Vail) Chorba; grandchildren, Mike, Sean, Karleigh, Todd, Zachary; great-grandchild Rayne; and sister, Helen Mahen. Ernest was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and 5 siblings. Visitation will be held at Eggleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd. Millbury, OH on Sunday August 25, 2013 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday August 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Clay Township Cemetery.
