Publish: August 18 & 19, 2005 Symbol: No Picture: No Ernest V. Kovacs Ernest V. Kovacs, 80, of Toledo, OH passed away August 14, 2005 in his home. He was born in Toledo, OH on January 14, 1925 to Joseph and Mary (Potocky) Kovacs, both from Hungary. Ernie was employed as an iron worker with Local 50 before his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 58 years, Pauline; brothers, Julius (Dugan), Marty, Joe and sister, Lola. Surviving are his brother, Elmer (Maybelle) Kovacs; sister, Isabelle Lancy, Deltona, FL; nephew, Mike (Kathy) Kovacs; brother-in-law, Bill (Carol) Byers; sisters-in-law, Norma (Wayne) Thrush and Greta (John) Dixon, and several nieces and nephews, all of Toledo, OH. According to Ernie's wishes there will be no funeral home visitation. A graveside service will conducted on Thursday, August 18, 2005 at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. for those who wish to attend. Arrangements are being handled by the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road.
