Ernestina Garcia Maya, 85, of Temperance, Michigan passed away on Tuesday June 21, 2022 Flower Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio. Ernestina was born on May 11, 1937 in Rio Hondo, Texas to Antonio and Maria (Martinez) Garcia. Ernestina was a hard worker and enjoyed cooking. She was a past member of Adrian Baptist Church, where she participated in many bible studies over the years. Ernestina is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Heriberto Maya; children, Jose, Yolanda, Gilbert, Rachel and Rueben; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and sister in law, Magalina Garcia. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Ramon Garcia, Israel Garcia, Anita Rodriguez and Maria Salazar. The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd, Oregon, Ohio, Monday, June 27, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., where a sharing of memories will take place at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
