Esther Likens, 78, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away October 18, 2007 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born in Amelia, Ohio on February 27, 1929 to Harley and Laura (Dunbar) Pierson. Esther was employed by Ohio Bell as an engineering supervisor for 29 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, Cooley Canal Yacht Club, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and First St. John Lutheran Church. Esther enjoyed playing bingo and bowling.   Surviving are her husband, C. Wayne Likens; children, Charles (Kathleen) Smith, Lori (Tim) Lewallen, Robin Graham; step-children, Sherrie (Bob) Haar, Carey (Laura) Likens, Kevin (Val) Likens and Robert (Ruby) Smith; sister, Margaret "Marge" Hubbell; 7 grandchildren and 8 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Charles Smith and brother, Harley.  Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday and Monday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in First St. Johns Lutheran Church, 2471 Seaman Street on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with interment following in Oakwood Cemetery.  Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Esthers memory are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or First St. Johns Memorial Fund.
