Esther M.C. Marsalko, 90, of Oregon, Ohio passed away March 9, 2008 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 7, 1917 to Steve and Koralin Kovacs. Esther enjoyed crocheting, Hungarian embroidery, baking Hungarian cookies and Kalach bread, watching soap operas, bowling, playing bingo and ten thousand dice game. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Lucille Larcom; grandchildren, Cindy (John) Muranyi, James (Lisa) Larcom, and 3 great grandchildren. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Marsalko and her siblings.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 1:00 p.m. with interment following in N. Oregon Cemetery. Contributions in Esthers memory may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
